Tampa Water Department to Host Open House for New Water Pipeline Project
The City of Tampa Water Department will host an open house on Wednesday, April 23, 2008 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ragan Park Community Center, located at 1200 East Lake Avenue.
The open house will provide information for the first phase of a new
pipeline project. The new pipeline will deliver drinking water to points
throughout Tampa between the David L. Tippin Water Treatment Facility in the northeast to the Interbay area in the southwest. The first phase of the project is generally bounded by I-275 to the west, 34th Street to the east, Hanna Avenue to the north and the Selmon Crosstown Expressway to the south. City of Tampa representatives will be present to answer questions and discuss the alternate pipeline routes.
